Since COVID-19 and the BLM marches, the Morgantown city police have lost 3 million from its budget, lost its chief, no new hires, no increased cost of living wages (as promised), have been called KKK by state delegate Daniel Walker, all overtime cut, called “bullies” by councilman Zack Cruze, and now are dealing with a “committee” who’s sole purpose is fear-mongering and witch hunts. They want to create a citizens review board comprised of organizations that have a long (and documented) history of ANTI-law enforcement, to hold public hearings that are in direct violation of chapter 8 of the WV state code!! So what did MPD do to deserve this treatment??? Why is the current city council hell-bent on destroying whatever police dept they have left???
